Delete account

You can delete your Journex account yourself, and completely, at any time. There is no waiting period and you do not have to give us a reason.

In the app — the fastest way

Open Profile.
Tap Security.
Right at the bottom: Delete account permanently.

To confirm, you type the word LÖSCHEN — that way it cannot happen by accident.

Without the app

Already uninstalled the app? Write to us from the email address your account was created with, to journex.team@gmail.com with the subject "Konto löschen". We delete within 30 days and confirm it to you.

What gets deleted

your account and your login details,
the onboarding conversation and your Founder DNA, including Insight cards and supporting quotes,
your Journey project, all proofs and the photos and files uploaded with them,
your posts in Squad chats and direct messages,
your points balance, Rank and XP,
your handle, your display name and your profile picture.

This happens immediately and is not reversible. Data can remain for a short time in technical backups; it is no longer used and is overwritten in the normal backup cycle.

What is kept for a short while

The record of your consent (version, language, time): at most three years after the deletion. We are legally required to be able to prove which text was shown to whom.
Posts in a Squad chat can stay visible to the other people in that chat, as far as this is needed for the conversation to make sense. They are then no longer linked to you.

Only individual data

You do not have to delete everything in order to change something: what others see of you is set field by field in the app under Profile → What others see. And you can export your data under Profile → Data & rights.
