Once a month, a real mission — as a squad

One task for everyone at the same time, secret until the drop. You play in a squad, you submit one proof, and the community rates it. No jury.

The social area with the running mission and its three phases countdown, live and afterglow, plus the club leaderboard.

Three phases: Countdown, Live, Afterglow

Every mission runs the same way. You see the countdown before you know what the task is.

  1. Countdown

The task stays secret until the drop. You only see when it starts.

  2. Live

The window is open. Everyone gets the same task at the same time.

  3. Afterglow

The results are in. What was submitted gets rated.

Nobody knows the task in advance — no squad and no club gets a head start.

Your squad: up to four people

A squad has at most four members. It is put together by archetype — so strengths complement each other instead of doubling up.

The four archetypes

  • Visionary
  • Maker
  • Connector
  • Architect

The squad view: matched automatically by archetype, with the option to share the squad card.

Three ways in

  • Through your club

If your club, your school or your student company is on Journex, you play with your own people.

  • With your own crew

Are there at least four of you? Then you open your own squad, with no detour through an organisation.

  • Open matching

You come alone. Journex puts your squad together by archetype, from people playing the same mission.

You are in even without a club.

Going through a club is one of three ways, not a requirement. If you come alone, open matching gets you a squad.

The draft slot

If a seat in the squad is still open, you fill it with an invite link. You send the link to the person you want with you — they take the open seat.

The Basecamp: your team room

As soon as the squad is set, you have your own room. It shows who is in it — and it is where you talk.

  • Roster

Who is in the squad and which seat is still open. Nothing more.

  • Text chat

One chat for your squad. Just you, nobody from outside.

Text chat · this squad only

No video, no audio

The Basecamp is a text room. There is no video call, no voice channel and no messages from strangers. Chat only exists inside your own squad.

The proof

At the end of the window your squad submits one proof. What you did, not what you planned.

  • Photo
  • Video
  • File
  • Text

A video can be your proof. There is still no video in the Basecamp — that stays a text room.

The community rates, not a jury

Nobody sits on a panel handing out points. The people who played the same mission do the rating.

Votes from other clubs count double. That way the best work wins, not the biggest group.

Fair, and specifically so

  • You do not rate your own squad.
  • You have three votes, not unlimited ones.
  • Votes from other clubs count double.
  • You only see your own result once you have rated yourself.
  • Rating is anonymous, without names.
The community judges the proof, not the polish.

The prize is status, not money

There is no payout, no prize money and no voucher. What you win, you see in the app.

  • Winner badge

The squad that wins carries the badge of that mission.

  • A spot in the showcase

The winning proof gets a spot in the mission showcase.

  • XP

There is XP for taking part, for the submitted proof and for the win — always for the whole squad.

The leaderboard counts clubs, not people

The ranking is club against club. There is no list that puts you up against individual people. Your rank stays private and appears in no social space.

Be there for the next drop

Missions run in the app. That is where your squad forms and where your Basecamp sits.
